Brawl Tournament!

Okay guys, this is what I'm going to try and do for Brawl tournaments:

1. Once a month so it gives everyone time to prepare/find the game/borrow it from someone/etc.
2. Try to do it actual tournament style so, for example, 16 people enter the first round is 8 matches, the second round is 4 matches, the semi-finals are 2 matches and the finals are a single match, as the name suggests.
3. We are NOT using official tournament rules the rules may differ from tournament to tournament.
4. All matches have to be finished within a certain time, if not both contestants are disqualified unless I am informed ahead of time about certain situations.
5. Have a lot of fun doing it because I've known people have been trying to get this to happen for a long time now.


All tournaments will be announced a month before, as said above, when it is announced it will have all the rules, times to be finished and all that jazz.

All tournaments will begin on the 15th of the month, excluding this month, as it is in the middle of the month.

Okay the first tournament is short, sweet, and simple.

Rules:
Basic 16 person tournament
Banned: all items, any moving/transforming stages.
3 Stock 10min
The matches in this tournament are 1v1 2/3 matches. winner moves on loser is out.
The first match is chosen by the first contestant, the second match by the second contestant.
If there is a third match is will be Final Destination or Battlefield, if neither can agree on what stage have a third party choose between the two.

I will hear both contestants before the winner is officially announced on the thread, if there are disagreements please bring in replays of all the matches.

Needless to say I will be attending.

I'll play I guess. Depending on the day and time. I may as well. I'm ok, but don't expect to be crushed by me. Also Krabby, will we be able to switch fighters between matches? Or do we have to stick with one through the entire tourney?

As I said, the tournament is every 15th of a month, excluding this month, there is no definitive time it starts. The tournament begins on the 15th of the month, and you have a certain amount of days to play the match. if that doesn't happen you're both disqualified unless proven to me you have tried to get the match up but the other contestant can't/won't.

Hmm, this may give me a reason to actually play Brawl. As I bought it more than a year ago and haven't even bother to open it, yet.

Wait...next month on the 15th? Grrr, can't participate on that day. My brother's wedding is the day before, but we're staying up there the next day as well. >.<

Also, you can change characters between rounds but when a match is made you have to use one character. For example, let's say I'm battling Choco, I can use only the character choose, like Link, but if I win and move on I can use a different character against, say Silver.
