Crystal Nuzlocke

Hey guys I'm gonna do a Nuzlocke Challenge of Pokemon Crystal. I will be naming the Pokemon what I want. I will be posting screenshots.


Necessary title screen is necessary.


The adventure begins.

EDIT: Oh yes the rules, the same as other nuzlockes, also for these first few routes the rules are ignored, including fainting.

His name is Julius, I was lured to him, he felt more regal than the other two. He had that air of "if you take me with you, I won't ever let you down" about him. Julius just seems to be a fitting name for him.

It would appear that pushover I met was a thief too, he stole that Totodile >.>


Well, he was my first catch, he was an owl, he seems smart and talks to me, so he's Kaepora


I'm not happy with this outcome, I'd have been much happier with a Phanpy or even a geodude... I named her Dommie, I hate that name, Dommie's gonna live in the PC now.


Along with the spree of catchings I got my happiness with Liz, she was almost eager to join us in our adventure. I now have my water type!

Two new Pokemon, Spidey and Barbara, if you don't get Barb's name shame on you. Anyways, I think in the long run Barbara is gonna be better than Kaepora, so I'm probably gonna switch them around.


Give a warm Welcome to Mythos the Hero, in another life he and his sister tried to change the world for the better, but he lost his way and his life was ended by a new batch of heros... But now he's with us on our Journey to rule the WO...I mean become champion. That's what I meant.

You totally won't believe who I found a the top of this tower, it was Taso the thief! Anyway he didn't want to battle, wise choice, so he just left. I then went and battled the Head Priest.

Okay guys, this is it, the first true test to me and my team's friendship. I have a feeling Julius is gonna be the main pokemon used though...


Wow, I mean, WOW, I didn't know this guy was such a pushover. Well all we can do is keep on moving, let's keep this winning streak going!


Prof. Birch gave me this egg, what am I supposed to do with this thing? Well I guess I can carry it around with me for a while.


Well I caught my back up water type, just in case Liz gets too much pressure.I named him Choco because just look at that big ol' grin and tell me that doesn't seem like Choco!


YOSH, He finally evolved, Julius, you now seem so much more regal what with being a Quilava not and what not!


Oh hey a grass type, YAY. Now I just need an electric type to finish my team, but hey, I can't choose them I find them!


I just did something STUPID, I accidently put mud-slap over Ember on Julius... his next fire move is at level 31 or when I get him fire blast, *cries* Oh and here's Roosevelt, he's named that because screw you, that's why.

The adventure is done for tonight, onwards to the next morn.

Well, we lost Barb to a Nidoran that got a critical hit. I'm sad she never got past being a Zubat...
Well I guess Kaepora has his shot at the spotlight now.


With loss comes gain. Say hello to Nickie I probably won't be using her much. She will stay with Spidey and Dommie for now.


Say hello to Silver, I named after that Swede everyone loves so much. He seems familiar with Nuzlockes for some reason.


I went to see if this Kurt guy could make me some custom pokeballs, but when I went to visit him he started rambling on about "team rocket", he just went flying out his door and left is daughter all alone...
I went to go see how he was doing and apparently he feel down into the well, he then tasked me with defeating Team Rocket, as if I had anything to do with this!

Well, I know this is going to be a tough battle, what with Julius not knowing any fire moves and Scyther being a power house.


This was a close battle, while Liz could handle Bugsy's Metapod and Kakuna fine enough his Scyther almost took her down. I had to switch to Mythos, who got hit by a critical Fury Cutter, but he did get a hypnosis out and spited away fury cutter. I then sent Julius to finish the job. This was surely the hardest battle so far... Oh GOD imagine Whitney...


Well, I hate you Taso, you killed my Mythos. I had promised him that we would rule the Pokemon League together... Well now I definitely will beat the Pokemon League for Mythos to rest in peace.


Well the daycare man gave me an egg. I wonder what's in it? also new area for new pokemon!


Looky who I found , now I can breed pokemon, like maybe I can get Julius a son that knows Ember...


Well this is what was in the egg, probably one of the worst that could've come from said egg, I wanted Elekid or Pichu...


Look who go lucky! I have an Abra now! All I have to do is train it. I can probably afford the elemental punches for her. As you can see her name is Alice.


Well first things first, Alice evolved which is amazing, and Julius has a baby egg!

Say hello to little Jillian, or Jill for short. I'm considering having Julius retire and have his daughter continue on this adventure.


Aw Jillian I knew you were special you seem to have a special talent in battle, you know all the moves your father knew and you're a faster learner, Julius is proud.
